**Job Summary**
Locum People is seeking a highly skilled Medical Microbiologist to join our team on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert microbiological services to a hospital in Buckinghamshire.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours.
- Manage a caseload of 10 patients per week, with the potential for more.
- Participate in on-call rotations, with specific details to be discussed.
- Conduct daily ward rounds in the Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU).
- Respond to consultations from medical teams regarding patients with suspected or confirmed infections.
- Perform blood culture bench rounds and investigate any issues related to infection prevention and control.
**Requirements**
- Right to work in the UK.
- Fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Two professional referees available for contact.
