Customer Support Specialist

Evertz is a leading company in the design and manufacture of innovative broadcast equipment. We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic technical support engineer to join our UK-based team at Winnersh, Berkshire.
The successful candidate will provide exceptional technical guidance to customers, troubleshoot and diagnose issues, and install products or systems at customer sites. They will also deliver training to customers and maintain a communication link between customer service and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance to customers on operational issues, configuration, firmware upgrades, and general maintenance.
- Assess customer product applications, troubleshoot, and diagnose issues through research and/or re-creation to determine the root cause.
- Install products or systems at customer sites and deliver training to customers.
- Maintain a communication link between customer service and other departments to resolve customer issues and communicate customer feedback to aid in design changes.
- Recommend solutions utilizing various levels of technical language appropriate to the customer in a timely, clear, and professional manner.
Requirements:
- No mandatory formal qualification required, although HND/degree in electronics or engineering is a guide.
- May be qualified through industrial or professional experience with experience of digital video and audio in broadcast or a related professional field.
- Previous experience testing/servicing/commissioning digital products in the broadcast industry.
- Willingness to learn technical aspects of legacy and current products and be able to self-educate to competency level given access to appropriate resources.

- Enthusiastic and always maintains professionalism, even under pressure.
- Flexible, willing, and able to travel or work overtime at short notice.
