Grade 8 Key Worker Position

Critical Family Support Role

This grade 8 position within our Children Services team plays a pivotal role in supporting families throughout the continuum of need. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, enabling them to connect families with essential resources and services.

We strive to deliver exceptional support through collaborative partnerships with families and universal provisions. As a key worker, you will facilitate access to a range of community services, including health, education, and third sector initiatives.

Closely collaborating with locality management, you will contribute to the effective delivery of high-quality support for families. Regular case supervision will be provided to support and guide your work with families.

Your Expertise

As a seasoned practitioner, you will bring significant experience in relationship-based work with children, young people, and their families. Your in-depth understanding of child development principles will enable you to provide targeted support.

We seek professionals who excel at building trust and engaging families who may be hesitant or resistant to our service. This role necessitates careful consideration of potential risks and the development of safety plans when required.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to make informed decisions that drive improved outcomes and reduce safeguarding risks.
  • Detailed knowledge of Early Help support services across the continuum of need.
  • Substantial understanding of child development research and evidence.
  • Familiarity with relevant children's legislation and statutory services.
