Maintenance Manager Job Description for Clayton Hotel Manchester City Centre

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at Clayton Hotel Manchester City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the hotel's maintenance is carried out to the highest standards.



Main Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and manage maintenance teams to ensure efficient and effective maintenance of the hotel's facilities.
  • Oversee the provision of general maintenance services, including plumbing, electrical work, and other repairs.
  • Source and manage external contractors to ensure that work is completed to a satisfactory standard.
  • Liaise with the accounts department to ensure all purchases are in line with budget.
  • Develop and implement procedures for maintenance and health and safety issues.
  • Monitor utilities and source more energy-efficient solutions.
  • Project manage refurbishment and capital expenditure projects.
  • Perform compliance checks to ensure the hotel remains within Health and Safety compliance.
  • Set a good example for the team with regard to work attitude, presentation, punctuality, and attendance.


Requirements:


  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar hotel environment.
  • Previous management experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good knowledge of Health and Safety.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with customers and the team.
  • Flexibility in day-to-day job demands.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Electric and plumbing qualifications would be advantageous.
