Job Overview

SGS is seeking a highly skilled Subcontract Technician to manage the subcontracting journey from initial query to testing completion. The successful candidate will work closely with Customer Services to ensure invoicing is complete and commercially sensible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately follow standard operating procedures for the registration, subcontracting, and transferring of samples between sites.
  • Provide technical support to outsource pricing and testing requirements with subcontracting laboratories.
  • Prepare purchase orders via Oracle and update the PO tracker.
  • Liaise with Sales to ensure they are aware of updated/new pricing for subcontractors.
  • Liaise with Procurement to ensure that once price increases are implemented, Oracle is updated to reflect these changes on product catalogues.

Requirements

  • GCSE grade A to C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Numerate with good written English – both essential.
  • Customer Service orientated and committed to providing an outstanding level of service to all.
  • Have good IT skills, including competent use of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience in operations/productions or a closely related role.
