Support Worker Role Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Support Worker at our Bristol Support Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work with individuals who have visual impairments, cerebral palsy, and learning disabilities.

About the Role:

  • Provide direct support to individuals in a wide range of activities, including daily living tasks, personal care, and leisure activities.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies, parents, carers, and services to ensure person-centred care.
  • Develop and maintain records and support plans to promote independence and develop skills.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • Excellent observational and recording skills.
  • Able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.
