Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, Special Education Coordinators, and other professionals to follow individual education plans and ensure a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Your role will involve supporting children with different learning needs, collaborating with teachers and SENCOs, and creating a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with special educational needs in their learning and development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Help create a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere.
  • Encourage and motivate students to reach their full potential.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Work with parents and carers to ensure consistent support for students.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are desirable but not essential.
  • Must have DBS (updated service) to safeguard the learners' issues.
