Job Summary

This full-time role, based in our modern offices in Northumberland Business Park, Cramlington, reports to the IT Manager. You will be responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to employees globally, as well as deploying, maintaining, and repairing hardware and software systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Delivering top-notch IT support to employees via various channels, including on-site visits, phone calls, and online messaging.
  2. Providing expertise in technology deployment, service troubleshooting, root cause analysis, hardware and software inventory management.
  3. Configuring, installing, maintaining, and repairing desktops, laptops, servers, client hardware, software, and network connections.
  4. Troubleshooting basic Wi-Fi issues to identify whether they are network or device-related problems.
  5. Designing and implementing IT projects, collaborating with the business to stay up-to-date on active and future projects.
  6. Supporting Windows Server and Client OS's, Office 365, Active Directory, and other related products.
  7. Providing assistance with manufacturing applications across the operation facility.
  8. Updating, documenting, and retaining maintenance information for PC hardware and software items, as well as accurately managing installed hardware and software inventories.
  9. Working with and managing third-party vendors to procure necessary hardware and software.

Requirements

  1. A strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  2. A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role within an international organization.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of software and hardware.
  4. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and the Microsoft environment.
  5. Knowledge of standard operating systems such as Windows 10 & 11, Windows Server 2019 & 2022, including DHCP, DNS, Active Directory.
  6. Understanding of networking fundamentals, LAN, and Wi-Fi, including cabling.
  7. A grasp of copiers, printers, and AV equipment.
  8. Kaseya proficiency is a plus.
  9. Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  10. A pragmatic, robust, and solution-oriented personality, capable of working effectively in a team environment and building strong relationships with a diverse employee base.
