About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Risk Governance Specialist to join our team at Aviva. As a key member of our Clinical Risk & Governance Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of clinical risk across our Protection products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical risk management frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate clinical risks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare and wellbeing support.
  • Provide clinical governance support across the product lifecycle, including the oversight of clinical suppliers and the harmonization of digital health propositions.
  • Support the development of clinical risk management strategies to protect Aviva from litigation and reputational risks.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK healthcare regulation and legislation, with experience in clinical governance in the NHS or private healthcare sector.
  • Demonstrable experience in clinical risk identification, management, and audit activities, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to draft clear and succinct reports on clinical governance matters and present findings to senior leadership and business committees.
  • Previous experience with the oversight of healthcare pathways, including digital healthcare, is desirable.

  • Competitive salary of £45,000 - £50,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
