About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team in South Staffordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist assessments and interventions for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical psychology, experience working with ASC, and excellent communication and leadership skills.

This is a full-time position, based at our Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust site in South Staffordshire. You will be required to travel frequently, using your own vehicle or public transport, and may need to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.

We offer a competitive salary package, including a welcome bonus of 10% of first year salary, paid holiday leave, and opportunities for professional development and training.

As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of our Autism service, ensuring that it meets the needs of our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist assessments and interventions for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with other professionals and stakeholders
  • Conduct audits and service evaluations to ensure that our service meets national standards and guidelines
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary case discussions and meetings to discuss complex cases
  • Supervise and train junior staff members, ensuring that they receive the necessary support and guidance to provide high-quality care
Requirements
  • Degree in Clinical Psychology or related field
  • Chartered status with the British Psychological Society
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Clinical Psychologist, preferably in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to travel frequently, using own vehicle or public transport
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will receive a welcome bonus of 10% of first year salary, paid holiday leave, and opportunities for professional development and training.
