Job Title: Service Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at HB People Recruitment & HR Specialists. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for supporting our depot with daily tasks and carrying out inspections and repairs of our hire fleet at customer locations and sites.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all works conducted within our depots and at customer sites are undertaken with full regard for the safety of yourself, colleagues, and clients, while maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures, identifying potential hazards and minimizing risks.
  • Responsible for safe working procedures at all times.
  • Carry out full inspections, services, and repairs of trailers and hire fleet.
  • Complete relevant inspection paperwork for all assets worked on, identifying fair wear and tear and customer damage.
  • Responsible for your van, work tools, spare stock, wearing correct PPE, and keeping the work area neat and tidy.

Essential Experience:

  • No experience required, as full training will be provided. However, a full driving license with no more than 6 points is mandatory.

Desirable Experience:

  • Basic electrical knowledge.
  • Use of hand and power tools.
  • A basic knowledge of traffic light equipment.
  • CSCS card holder.
  • Competent in driving a company van and pickups up to 3.5 Ton in size.
  • Competent in towing a trailer with plant equipment loaded.
