Clinical Leadership Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to lead our child and adolescent neurodevelopment service. As a strong leader, you will work closely with service management and the multidisciplinary team to drive innovation and service development.
Key responsibilities include leading complex neurodevelopmental assessments, working closely with the team to build clinical formulations and make diagnostic decisions. Your advanced skills in teaching, supervision, and training will be essential in contributing to multidisciplinary team working.
We value close working with local child and adolescent learning disability and mental health services, as well as our multi-agency partners. Our connection with the North Wales Clinical Psychology Programme is also an important aspect of this role.
Main Duties
- Provide a highly specialised clinical psychology service to clients, including psychological assessment and therapy.
- Hold designated responsibility for the systematic governance of sector staff's psychological practice.
- Exercise delegated responsibility for the management and supervision of designated staff.
- Contribute to the development of local team policies and procedures.
- Advise service and professional management on aspects of the service related to the team.
- Provide clinical placements and supervision for Doctoral level trainee psychologists.
- Deliver training to other professionals.
- Utilise highly specialised research skills for audit, policy, and service development.
- Act as a panel member in the recruitment of designated staff.
- Assist the Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the efficient day-to-day management of the service.
