Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist – Medical/Clinical Informatics to join our team at Best Buy Health. As a key member of our Data Science team, you will work closely with Product and Engineering to deliver innovative solutions that improve the quality and efficiency of care delivery in hospital-level care at home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IT, biomedical engineering, software engineering, data engineering, and clinical experts to develop and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Apply a range of data science techniques, including AI/machine learning, statistics, and data visualization, to address clinically oriented use cases.
  • Partner with data engineers to ensure data are cleaned, processed, harmonized, and curated in alignment with industry standard practices.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate predictive models into virtual hospital workflows.
  • Serve as a thought partner and informatics subject matter expert to clinicians and product managers during the ideation and design of new solutions that incorporate data/AI.

Requirements

  • 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Health Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Master's degree in Health Informatics, Medical Informatics, or Clinical Informatics, or clinical practice experience.
  • Significant experience working with healthcare data from hospitals/care delivery/electronic health records.
  • Demonstrated experience in AI/machine learning, FHIR, clinical terminologies, and terminology/value set management systems.
  • SQL and NoSQL databases, cloud environments, and prototyping skills.
