Step Teachers is partnering with a reputable Secondary School in Norfolk to recruit an accomplished Music Teacher for a long-term maternity cover position. This opportunity allows the successful candidate to make a significant impact on students' musical development and personal growth, while contributing to a collaborative and dynamic educational community.

About the Role
  • This two-term assignment will begin immediately or in January 2025, subject to the school's requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Music curriculum and be able to design and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles. Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and classroom management abilities are crucial for maintaining a productive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the Music curriculum.
  2. Maintain a well-organized and professional classroom setup, ensuring easy access to resources, instruments, and equipment.
  3. Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and throughout the school to promote a cohesive and supportive educational community.
  4. Evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
  5. Ensure compliance with the school's policies and procedures, demonstrating a commitment to academic excellence and student well-being.

Salary Estimate: £38,000 - £60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

This position requires a qualified teacher with recent mainstream school-based experience as a Music Teacher in a Secondary School setting. A relevant Music-related degree is desirable, and applicants should hold QTS or an equivalent qualification. The ideal candidate will possess excellent classroom and behavior management skills, allowing them to create a positive and focused learning environment.
