Junior Advisor - Digital Project

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Advisor to support our Digital Project at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS). The successful candidate will work closely with our Research Lead to develop digital tools that enhance our public analysis and commercial client offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze data related to cyber-relevant geopolitical events, defence economic trends, and broader security issues.
  • Manage data with precision, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and accessibility for our core research focus.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to innovate and enhance proprietary tools, enabling efficient data processing and richer analytical insights.
  • Support cross-functional engagement with other IISS departments to integrate diverse expertise and enhance the quality and impact of our analyses.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field or relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in research and analysis, with a strong ability to disseminate conclusions in written and verbal forms.
  • Experience in using or contributing to database products.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • May have experience researching cyber, emerging technologies, or defence economics and related security issues.
