Research Assistant Opportunity

The International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) is seeking a Research Assistant to join the Conflict, Security and Development Programme within the research department.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in development studies, political economy, or international relations, with experience in policy-relevant research and publication on development, governance, security, geopolitics, and/or geo-economics.

Responsibilities will include providing research support in the annual production of the Armed Conflict Survey publication, collecting and analyzing data, and assisting senior researchers with research projects.

The ideal candidate will have excellent quantitative skills, including proficiency in Excel, and strong communication skills.

Language skills in French, Spanish, or Portuguese are desirable.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in development studies, political economy, or international relations
