A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the Kent area.

You will be working closely with our experienced Commercial Team, who have a number of exciting projects currently in motion, as well as some new jobs starting soon.

  1. Improve our Quantity Surveying systems and processes.
  2. Consult with clients, suppliers, and manufacturers to determine project requirements and discuss any issues arising.
  3. Produce monthly valuations, control weekly wage bookings, deal with wage queries, price variations, manage non-recoverable costs, and other information as required for successful surveying of each project.
  4. Monitor cash collection on a regular basis and report updates on project progress.
  5. Be aware of current Health & Safety Legislation and other legal requirements affecting the areas of responsibility.
  6. Perform any other task appropriate to this role as required by the Management and Surveying Department.
  7. Continually review project successes and failures and ensure all relevant parties are updated.
Requirements:
  1. At least 3 years experience in Quantity Surveying.
  2. Strong background and work experience in Construction.
  3. Pro-active and flexible approach to work.
  4. Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.
  5. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in UK English.
  6. 3+ years experience in internal drylining, screeding, suspended ceilings, lightweight steel framing, insulated render systems, render systems, rainscreen cladding systems, and curtain walling.
  7. Comprehensive knowledge of construction materials, their properties, and uses.
  8. Ability to operate in a fast-paced construction environment.
