Food Service Assistant

About The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Service Assistant to join our team at Manchester Arndale. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the efficient preparation and delivery of high-quality food and beverages.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene, and food safety in line with current legislation and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer comments and feedback in a professional and courteous manner.
- Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure seamless service delivery, including food preparation, presentation, and serving.
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to company cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and portion sizes.
- Assist in the preparation of food, including cooking, plating, and garnishing.
- Ensure accurate and efficient service delivery, including managing cash handling and operating point-of-sale systems.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge in food preparation, service, and customer service.
