Energy Efficiency Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Energy Advice Officer to join our Sustainable Communities team in Colne. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in implementing our energy efficiency programs and supporting local communities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement energy efficiency programs to reduce energy costs and improve living conditions for vulnerable households.
- Manage incoming referrals and conduct assessments to identify households at risk of fuel poverty, providing tailored advice and support to help them access necessary resources.
- Deliver energy advice and support to customers, including home visits, community outreach, and energy advice events.
- Build and maintain relationships with partner organizations to raise awareness of our project and promote energy efficiency initiatives.
- Refer clients to other organizations offering support in areas such as debt management, health and wellbeing, employment, and education.
- Experience in a customer-facing role, working with clients who face multiple barriers to engagement.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability issues, with the ability to provide advice and support to customers.
- Understanding of the pressures and demands faced by people living in poverty, with the ability to provide tailored support.
- Knowledge of partner agencies offering support in areas such as debt management, health and wellbeing, employment, and education.
- Ability to work independently and meet targets, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- A competitive salary of £26,862 per annum.
- 27 days annual leave (rising to 32 over 5 years' service) + bank holidays.
