Senior Medicines Optimisation Programme Lead

The NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Medicines Optimisation across Greater Manchester.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to improve access to appropriate care and reduce health inequalities.
- Lead the delivery of the Medicines Optimisation work programme, prioritising key objectives and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Provide clinical leadership for Medicines Optimisation across Greater Manchester, working closely with NHS GM, ICP partners, locality partners, and other stakeholders.
Key Duties
- Collaborate with other clinical and care professional leads to deliver the Clinical and Care Professional Leadership Principles across Greater Manchester.
- Lead system-level work for medicines optimisation, working with managerial and clinical and care professional leaders across the ICS and locality.
- Develop and implement initiatives to improve outcomes for population health and wellbeing through a lens of prevention and inequality.
- Engage with patients, service users, and carers to ensure their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Represent the CCPL voice in Greater Manchester, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

Person Specification
- Be a Clinician registered with a recognised Clinical Professional Body.
- Hold a Formal Management Qualification and/or have proven and significant leadership experience.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Significant experience of leading and delivering complex change and strategy development programmes in a politically sensitive and complex environment.
- Experience and track record of managing very senior relationships across multiple partner organisations.
