Role Overview:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role within the London Client Reporting & Portfolio Analytics team at Neuberger Berman. This individual will be directly supporting the European High Yield and global fixed income portfolio management teams, responsible for compiling portfolio and market-specific materials, including institutional client reporting, macro-economic exhibits, bespoke institutional client exhibits, portfolio and product analytics, and portfolio review materials.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Develop in-depth understanding of the firm's global fixed income strategies to create client reports and portfolio review decks.
  2. Run performance attribution reports and ad-hoc queries to identify main drivers of portfolio performance.
  3. Collaborate with the team to deliver on all global clients' analytics reporting requirements in accordance with established investment management agreements.
  4. Function as the primary point of contact for data regarding portfolio exposures and summary statistics, delivering accurate and timely responses.
  5. Develop proficiency in key reporting tools, creating report content and partnering with IT to drive enhancements to end-client deliverables.
  6. Participate in firm-wide, client service-related strategic initiatives.
  7. Contribute to key projects to create time-saving efficiencies for the global team.
  8. Effectively communicate with investment strategy subject matter experts, incorporating edits based on instructions from investment, sales, and legal teams.
  9. Develop and maintain Python scripts for data analysis and workflow automation.
Qualifications:
  1. Experience using Python to automate workflows.
  2. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
  3. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Science, or Math preferred.
  4. 4+ years post-graduate experience in asset management preferred.
  5. Knowledge of financial markets, fixed income, interest in investment strategies, and security-level analysis such as performance attribution.
  6. Experience in the development and construction of formula-driven spreadsheets, pivot tables, and macros.
  7. Analytical and comfortable working with and interpreting statistics and fixed income market data.
  8. Prior experience building presentations, including graphic and data slides.
  9. Highly motivated team-player with a desire to work on a wide range of projects, collaborative, and self-starter.
  10. Accountable with excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize work within a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
