Gemini Recruitment Services Ltd is partnering with a leading law firm to recruit a dedicated Family Law Paralegal. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with casework, including dealing with a range of Family & Children matters, and undertaking their own advocacy.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Department Director
  • Assist with casework, including dealing with Family & Children matters
  • Undertake own advocacy
  • Attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases
  • Deal with correspondence
  • Prepare and manage funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency
  • Prepare draft documents, including witness statements, and process evidence
  • Attend conferences and court
  • Maintain accurate time costing procedures
  • Implement recommendations made by the supervisor following monthly file reviews
  • Ensure compliance with file management

Key Skills Required:

  • Demonstrate passion and legal experience in Family & Children Law
  • Strong academic background with a Law degree
  • Clear understanding and application of Family & Children Law
  • Business acumen and ability to market the Company
