Net Zero Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Net Zero Managing Consultant to join our climate change consultancy team at ERM. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in assisting organisations in their journey towards achieving net-zero emissions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic guidance and technical expertise to clients on net-zero strategies, GHG inventories, and decarbonisation strategies.
- Lead the analysis of carbon emissions from multiple perspectives, including understanding carbon emissions impact, target setting (SBTi), and developing emissions reduction roadmaps.
- Support clients in implementing net-zero strategies within their organisations.
- Oversee the preparation of reports, workshop materials, presentations, and technical summaries.
- Lead and support partners and teams to develop proposals for clients across a wide range of sectors.
- Relevant technical degree or 5+ years' experience in environmental consulting / climate change / related industry position.
- Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge of GHG accounting and reporting principles, mechanisms, methodologies, and schemes.
- Ability to proactively identify and suggest suitable methodologies to address client problems.
- Good awareness of climate legislation, management systems, MACC analysis, and links between energy and climate change.
- Proficiency in using MS Office, strong Excel capabilities, and experience of data manipulation and visualisation tools.
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills, and ability to synthesise reports to a very high standard.
