Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom International Society for Industrial Ecology Full time

As part of the International Society for Industrial Ecology, we are committed to advancing research and knowledge in the field of sustainable development. We are currently seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in Sustainable Buildings to contribute to our ongoing project, BuildZero.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing novel methods to assess and improve the energy efficiency of buildings. This involves combining data-driven approaches with machine learning techniques to predict energy consumption and identify areas for improvement. The ultimate goal is to create more sustainable built environments that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote resource efficiency.

We expect the salary for this position to range from £45,000 to £55,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience. The appointment duration is initially two years, with potential extensions until the completion of the BuildZero project.

Applicants should hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Architecture, or Environmental Science. They should also demonstrate expertise in data analysis, programming languages (e.g., Python), and software tools like Autodesk Revit. Collaborative skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders are essential for success in this role.
