Cargo Inspector

The role of a Cargo Inspector with Intertek involves performing volume and temperature measurements, sampling, calculations, and reporting to ensure the quality and quantity of materials during transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing visual observations, volume measurements, temperature measurements, and sampling of commodity materials
- Attending commodity material movements involving line and tank transfer or displacement, lightering, and loading and unloading
- Communicating and coordinating with terminal, transport, and company personnel to promote the smooth exercise of duties assigned
- Verifying and communicating the results obtained, and making the entries into the appropriate media, whether print or electronic, required to ensure the validity and traceability of the information
