Job Title: Engineering Document Management Specialist

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Document Management Specialist to join our team at People Group. As a leading mechanical and electrical engineering contractor, we require someone who can maintain all document control processes and procedures while working closely with the site team to minimize project risk and achieve quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and understand EDMS process and procedure guides for projects.
  • Ensure the team and subcontractors adhere to project processes and procedures, providing guidance when deviations occur.
  • Assign documents to work packages according to work packaging guidelines and subcontractor viewing restrictions.
  • Perform QA checks on information entering the system, processing accordingly.
  • Ensure drawings and documents published to the system are associated with document transmittals.
  • Prepare document transmittals for information issued to the company and client team.
  • Download drawings and documents for day files and file/hang drawings.
  • Update technical submission schedules, method statement schedules, RFI registers, comment schedules, and drawing registers.
  • Filing (electronic/hard copy).
  • Review document QA and comment scheduling.
  • Review and check master information delivery plans (MIDP) and task information delivery plans (TIDP), checking against actual Aconex information.
  • Issue RAMS comments and status onto EDMS.
  • Maintain company electronic and paper-based drawing and document filing systems.
  • Represent the company in a presentable and professional manner.
  • Document archiving.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the site team and subcontractors. Experience with various EDMS for all aspects of document control processes and protocols is essential. The estimated salary for this role is £38,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
