We are seeking a Principal Quality Engineer to join our team on the Global Combat Air Programme. The successful candidate will have experience in quality engineering, preferably within the aerospace or defence industry, and a strong understanding of quality management systems, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) across all project phases, ensuring comprehensive de-risking exercises, in-depth root cause analysis, and meticulous quality documentation.">
  • Mentor and train team members on APQP practices and standards, fostering a unified approach to quality management and sharing best practices globally.">
  • Analyze data and identify issues to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence from the earliest stages of our projects.">
  • Engage with international partners across the ISANKE and ICS domains, ensuring a collaborative approach to quality management and sharing best practices globally.">

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience in Quality Engineering: Demonstrated experience in quality engineering, preferably within the aerospace or defence industry.">
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of quality management systems, standards, and regulatory requirements.">
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.">
  • Leadership and Initiative: Proven ability to take initiative and lead quality initiatives, with a particular emphasis on APQP.">
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey complex quality concepts to diverse audiences.">
  • Software Assurance: Awareness of software-specific quality requirements and understanding of methodologies for software development.">
