Gastroenterologist Consultant

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, contributing to the development of our services, and working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert clinical care to patients with gastrointestinal complaints, including emergency and elective care.
- Participate in the Gastroenterology on-call rota, ensuring seamless coverage and high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the audit and governance of our services, driving quality improvement and ensuring compliance with national standards.
- Support the training and development of junior medical staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Engage in research and quality improvement initiatives, driving innovation and improving patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement clinical guidelines, ensuring best practice and evidence-based care.
- Participate in the Upper GI/Hepatobiliary Cancer MDT, contributing to the development of comprehensive care plans and improving patient outcomes.
