Senior Bookkeeper Role

Raw Energy, a dynamic and ambitious company, is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their team in the UK. As a key member of the finance department, you will play a vital role in supporting the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities and Duties

This position involves a range of tasks, including:

Financial Record Keeping:
  • Maintaining and updating accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Resolving and reconciling ledgers, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Managing both accounts payable and receivable, processing payments and receipts, ensuring cost centres are appropriately allocated.
  • Setting up bank payments.
  • Creating, amending, and reviewing forecast payment plans.
  • Managing accounts' receivable credit control, ensuring timely receipts.
  • Preparing and filing VAT returns.
Bank Reconciliation:
  • Reconciling bank statements with company accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Payroll Administration:
  • Managing new starters and leavers.
  • Processing weekly and monthly payroll, setting up payments and reporting to HMRC.
  • Managing employee expense claims.
Financial Reporting:
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Creating, managing, and reversing journals for accrual and prepayments.
  • Updating and maintaining the fixed asset register.
  • Generating reports for management, providing insights into financial performance and cash flow.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in bookkeeping, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication skills. A competitive salary of £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, is offered, along with 25 days holiday, plus a day off for your birthday, and free parking on site.
