Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Public Health Engineer to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile rail projects, providing Mechanical and Public Health engineering support from design to completion.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a small engineering team to deliver design, installation, and commissioning of Mechanical and Public Health scope of works.
  2. Review designs against current project standards, ensuring buildability and constructability.
  3. Manage third-party design consultants to deliver required design deliverables.
  4. Liaise with contractors and designers to resolve design comments.
  5. Ensure design risk assessment is compliant with installation parameters.
  6. Participate in HazID, HazOP, and HazCON's as required.
  7. Develop engineered solutions to key project problems.
  8. Manage design registers, meeting minutes, drawing registers, etc.
  9. Direct liaison with CAD/BIM teams for drawing modelling and clash detection.
  10. Attend interdisciplinary design reviews and checks.
  11. Develop scope documents for tenders and procurement processes.
  12. Support commissioning of mechanical systems.
  13. Work with installation teams to ensure design suitability and solve installation issues.
  14. Track technical or design changes and variances.
  15. Plan design, installation, and testing and commissioning works.
  16. Manage subcontractor works and provide contract support.
  17. Ensure design and works comply with client quality management systems.

Salary: £90,000 - £110,000 per annum
