The Role:

We seek an experienced Senior Drafter to join our London office, working on building structures, bridges, and civil structures as part of our growing team.

You will work closely with our Discipline Lead to deliver diverse projects, ideally involving main buildings, civil structures, and bridges with various materials such as steelwork, reinforced concrete, and masonry. You will also interact with other disciplines, including civil, façades, rail, and geotechnical.

We require an individual with strong technical skills and excellent organisational and communication abilities, gained in either a multi-disciplinary or engineering consultancy environment. This role offers an opportunity to enhance and diversify your skills within a dynamic organisation that supports your future development.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing supporting functions to the drafting team
  • Preparation of engineering design layouts and detail designs
  • Maintaining quality and technical standards with your work
  • Interfacing with drafters, designers, and engineers
  • General design office duties

This position is ideal for those with a structural or civil engineering study background, along with 8+ years of experience in structural drafting with BIM level 2 modelling. Essential skills include high attention to detail, strong time management and prioritising skills, and well-developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills. A practical approach and experience in client-facing roles are also necessary.

While not essential, professional qualifications in a related field, ProjectWise Common Data Environment (CDE) experience, and site project or operations experience are desirable.
