About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily preparation and production of food, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of culinary practice. They will oversee the efficient use of catering provisions, materials, and resources, and be responsible for the direct supervision of all catering staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily food service operations, ensuring that food is prepared and served to the highest standards.
- Oversee the ordering and inventory of catering provisions, materials, and resources.
- Supervise and train catering staff to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
- Monitor and report on food service performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
Requirements:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Working Arrangements:
The successful candidate will work 27.7 hours per week, over four days, with a flexible approach to working hours. They will be required to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that food services are delivered to the highest standards.
