About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Paediatrician to join our team in Ealing, working within the Community Paediatrics department of Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.

Job Summary

This is a permanent, full-time position (10PA) that involves working with a multidisciplinary team to provide community-based paediatric services to children and families in Ealing. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in general Child Development Team clinics in various locations across the borough, including developmental assessments, cerebral palsy management, and other specialist clinics.
  • Contribute to the Social Communication and Autism (SoCA) assessment service, including assessments for ASD and ADHD, as well as long-term management for ADHD.
  • Participate in Education and Health Care assessments and contribute to the department's child protection work, including supervision of middle-grade staff and direct delivery of services.
  • Provide educational and clinical supervision to departmental trainees and may be required to act in a supervisory capacity to other non-consultant grades.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • MRCP, MRCPCH by examination or equivalent, and full GMC registration.
  • On the GMC specialist register or within 6 months of CCT or CESR-CP in Paediatrics.
  • Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams within community settings and has achieved the competencies relating to General Paediatric Training.
  • 5 years Higher Specialist Training, including 3 years in Community Paediatrics, and training and experience in identification and management of suspected child abuse.
