About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead UX Designer to join our team at Thomson Reuters. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end design process, from initial planning to product design and polished visuals across your product area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the design process, ensuring that customer voice and product vision are embedded across your work.
  • Work closely with design leadership and other team members to remove roadblocks and inform decision making.
  • Manage project requirements and tasks across your product area, delegating and prioritizing workload for FTE and contract team members.
  • Collaborate with design team counterparts across Reuters Digital products and partner with Research, Product, and Engineering teams to drive clarity in product needs.
  • Mentor junior team members and articulate a compelling vision for customers across your product line.
  • Create and facilitate integrated design decisions and solutions, partnering closely with the UX Research team to identify iterative improvements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 8+ years of application/product design experience, with 2+ years in a lead role.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in UX/HCI or related field, or significant equivalent experience.
  • A thorough understanding of UX & Accessibility best practices, UXR methods, service design, and design systems.
  • Confident facilitation of UX and design thinking-led workshops for key stakeholders.
  • Experience working with design systems, design tokens, and atomic design principles.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing complex design problems solved with design-led thinking, clean design aesthetic, and passion for accessibility, consistency, and usability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience interfacing with a broad range of stakeholders.
