Senior Accountant

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Senior to join their dynamic accounts team in Sussex. As an Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for preparing accounts for the audit team, controlling a portfolio of clients, and ensuring the implementation of all relevant client work.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare accounts for the audit team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Control a portfolio of clients, comprising individuals and owner-managed businesses.
- Prepare accounts for companies, partnerships, LLPs, and sole traders.
- Prepare corporation tax returns and computations.
- Prepare partnership tax returns and adjusted profit computations.
- Prepare personal tax returns and computations.
- Review VAT returns.
- Use online accounting packages to streamline processes.
- Ensure effective team workflow and implement all relevant client work.
- Arrange and lead accounts planning meetings to maximize resource implementation.
- Supervise semi-seniors and assistants involved in production and delivery of work.
- Act as a key point of contact for nominated clients to manage all their compliance and service requirements.
- Experience with full FRS 102 accounts and IFRS accounts.
- Experience of preparation of group accounts and consolidations, including cashflow statements.
- Experience of foreign subsidiary conversions, including pre and post-acquisition reserves.
- Experience of calculating minority interests.
- Minimum ACA/ACCA part-qualified.
A highly competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000, dependent on experience and background, is on offer. A comprehensive benefits package, including 25 days annual leave and 5% pension, is also available.
