Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant in Older Adult Psychiatry to join our team at NHS Grampian. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Older Adult Mental Health services in the Banff and Buchan region of North Aberdeenshire, linked to 5 General Practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Older Adult Mental Health services in the Banff and Buchan region
  • Work closely with General Practices and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care
  • Contribute to Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching
  • Engage in research and audit activities
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC
  • Higher specialist training leading to CCT or within 6 months of confirmed entry on the GMC Specialist Register
  • Experience in Older Adult Mental Health services
