Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Modelling Specialist to join our team at Warner Scott Recruitment. As an Analyst in the Modelling Team, you will be responsible for supporting the development of financial and valuation models, designing and performing advanced financial analysis, and interpreting results with minimal guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support the development of financial and valuation models, including designing and performing advanced financial analysis.
  2. Design, perform, and interpret advanced financial analysis with minimal guidance.
  3. Perform research as required into clients and industries, and share findings in a succinct and well-presented manner.
  4. Work with Project Leads and Project Managers to ensure appropriate project planning, monitoring, and administration is completed in a timely fashion.
  5. Attend client meetings and draft records of conversations.
  6. Support the Project Lead in identifying key issues and client needs, developing suggested modelling methodologies and approach, and elevating and consulting with other team members as required.
  7. Manage the preparation of deliverables, including reports, presentations, and discussions with different project stakeholders.
  8. Actively support the team in business development initiatives.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  2. 0-2 years of experience in financial modelling, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills preferred but not essential.
  3. Experience with Power Query and visualisation tools such as PowerBI and Tableau is a plus.
  4. Entrepreneurial and takes ownership for the growth of the business, comfortable in a flexible fast-paced environment.
  5. Curious mindset and looking to build a career in the valuations and modelling space.
  6. Excellent attention to detail with an ability to deliver high-quality analysis and report drafts.
  7. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  8. Display an excellent team ethos with a collaborative approach to executing work.
  9. Self-starter who demonstrates initiative and confidence.
  10. Strong project management skills.
  11. Prioritisation, time management, and planning are key skills for this role.
  12. Speaking more than one European language (such as French, Dutch, or German) would be a plus.
