Assembly Technician

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team at Lockheed Martin. This is a 24-month fixed-term contract opportunity to work on vehicle assembly and testing at our state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities- Work to strict specifications, procedures, and engineering drawings on projects critical to the MOD.
- Collaborate with the test support, engineering, and Quality functions to ensure high-quality results.
- Perform quality and performance testing, and complete set-ups with high accuracy.
- Use hand tools and measuring equipment to inspect and test vehicles.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of clean as you go/6S/FOD/Tool control programs.
- Participate in quality inspection points and process documentation.
- Contribute to a culture of health and safety awareness and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Assembly Technician, Armoured Vehicle Technician, Aircraft Assembly Technician, Mechanical Fitter, or similar role.
- Ability to work from written instructions with limited supervision.
- Excellent listening and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment and take direction well.
