Role Overview

About the Role

This SEN Support Professional will play a vital role in helping children achieve their personal goals, working closely with them to develop strategies for managing sensory needs and challenging behaviors. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, patience, and a proactive approach to supporting students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with autism and high sensory needs.
  • Facilitate sensory activities that help children manage their sensory needs.

Requirements:

  • A Child & Adult Workforce DBS
  • Previous experience working with children with autism and high sensory needs is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of autism spectrum disorders and associated sensory processing issues.
  • A proactive and positive attitude towards helping children achieve their best.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Salary and Benefits:
