We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Otology Fellow to join our multidisciplinary team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. This is a 12-month fellowship opportunity that will provide senior trainees with the chance to gain further experience in all aspects of otology, cochlear implantation, and skull base surgery.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Participating in a 1 in 7 'hot week' cover arrangement to provide on-call support
- Helping with the training and supervision of more junior SpRs and new junior doctors
- Contributing to the development of clinical skills and knowledge in the field of otology and cochlear implantation
Our ENT department provides a comprehensive range of ORL-HNS services, and is organized on a sub-specialty basis. We have a state-of-the-art facility with 3 ENT operating theatres, equipped with the latest technology, including 4K Karl Storz endoscopy stacks, microscopes, and navigation systems.
Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- GMC full registration and MBBS or equivalent qualification
- Post-CCT ENT experience and ability to supervise/train SpRs to operate
- Satisfactory completion of clinical training attachments in central and peripheral acute hospitals
