Job Description:

The FTTH Installation Specialist is responsible for the installation of fibre to the home broadband services to residential customers. As a customer-facing, field-based role, high levels of customer service and producing a quality service is paramount.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of fibre to the home broadband services to residential premises, including carrying out external and internal cabling work.
  • Working at heights up to 15 metres, including working on telegraph poles and ladders.
  • Delivering professional and quality customer service.
  • Self-auditing work to ensure it meets all company and client standards.
  • Ensuring all activities are carried out in line with health and safety standards, including carrying out daily checks to ensure safe to use.
  • Maintenance of a clean and tidy environment at all times.
  • Prepared to work in all weather conditions.


Requirements:
  • A full UK driving license is essential due to the field-based nature of the role, candidates must have held this license for 1 year and have a maximum of 6 points.
  • Full training will be provided to the right candidate, however candidates with experience working on the BT Openreach network and hold NRSWA Street Works qualifications are desirable.
  • Be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and clients.
  • Proactive in the resolution of engineering obstacles, with liaison with team managers.
  • Ability to take direction from management and carry out work in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Dedication to delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Flexibility to undertake work outside of core working hours.
  • Competent in using technology, including devices and apps.
