Job Title: Highly Specialised Occupational Therapist

Northampton General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Stroke Team as a Highly Specialised Occupational Therapist. Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing, providing, and coordinating occupational therapy assessment and treatment for all stroke patients in the community stroke team. This will involve working closely with patients, families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised treatment plans that promote independence, mobility, and quality of life.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overseeing, providing, and coordinating occupational therapy assessment and treatment for all stroke patients in the community stroke team.
  • Work closely with patients, families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised treatment plans.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals in providing high-quality care to patients with stroke and other neurological conditions.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new services and programs.
