Lead the Kitchen with Passion and Excellence
Slim Chickens is seeking a dedicated and passionate Kitchen Manager to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen activities, leading a talented team, and ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Lead, train, and inspire the kitchen team to deliver high-quality food.
- Maintain the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene.
- Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the management team to drive the restaurant's success.
- Create a positive and motivating work environment in the kitchen.
- Handle any kitchen-related issues and resolve them promptly.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a kitchen management role within a restaurant or similar fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a kitchen team.
- A passion for cooking and delivering consistently great food.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
- A deep understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a high-energy environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
