Job Summary

DP World is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Coventry. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our automated warehouse equipment, ensuring seamless operations and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all planned Preventative Maintenance schedules are completed within agreed timescales to a high standard.
  • Carry out repairs/maintenance tasks with a first-time fix approach.
  • Liaise with the Engineering Manager on a shift basis to ensure all PPM schedules and any outstanding tasks are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Identify problematic faults, rectify, and monitor performance on a continual basis.
  • Complete manufacturing/production line tasks as requested or identified and record/report activities and/or actions in appropriate databases or related systems.
  • Accountable for the performance of the automated warehouse equipment.
  • Work closely with the engineering team, management, launch, and operational teams as part of the new solutions development process.
  • Support the presentation of technical improvements to customers through proposals, conference calls, and presentations in conjunction with account management.
  • Actively support and when required lead the delivery of the engineering solution at project launch, including the creation of master data, process validation, infrastructure works, and onsite contractor management.
  • Be a SME (subject matter expert) on engineering processes, tools, and techniques, including MTM, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Excel.
  • Ensure the engineering function is aligned with operations team and other support functions.
  • Proven background within Maintenance Engineering (Electrical and Mechanical - 30/70 basis).
  • Ability to empathise and understand client's viewpoint and requirements and act as their champion within the engineering function.
  • Ability to interpret data and derive solid conclusions from analysis.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables and familiarity with common formulas), Word, Visio or equivalent, and Project Management software are required.
  • Proficient in using AutoCAD to design functional workings of solutions in 3D and 2D formats.

  • Proven background within Maintenance Engineering (Electrical and Mechanical - 30/70 basis).
