Join Our Team as a Strategic Procurement Lead at Leonardo

We are on the lookout for a talented Procurement professional to enhance our innovative team at Leonardo, a global leader in Aerospace, Defence, and Security. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the Procurement Lead for the Typhoon Electronic Warfare (EW) programmes within our Electronic Warfare Line of Business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute Procurement strategies for the Typhoon platform
  • Manage contracts and foster relationships with suppliers
  • Oversee subcontract management and supplier selection processes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with Procurement strategies
  • Convert customer requirements into effective procurement documentation

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Exceptional communication and relationship management skills
  • Proven experience in delivering subcontracted work packages
  • Degree qualification or equivalent professional experience
  • Knowledge of commercial and legal frameworks in the Defence/Aerospace sector
  • Innovative thinking with a focus on adding value to the function
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Procurement processes in the Defence/Aerospace sector
  • Understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in contractual agreements
  • Background in Business Studies
  • MCIPS qualification or progress towards it
  • Experience with integrated business systems such as SAP
