Join Our Team as a Strategic Procurement Lead

We are looking for an experienced Procurement professional to become a vital part of our team at Leonardo, a global leader in high-tech sectors including Aerospace, Defence, and Security. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the Procurement Lead for the Typhoon Electronic Warfare (EW) programmes within our Electronic Warfare Line of Business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute Procurement strategies tailored for the Typhoon platform
  • Manage supplier contracts and maintain strong relationships
  • Oversee subcontract management and supplier selection processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with Procurement strategies
  • Convert customer needs into comprehensive procurement documentation

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Proven experience in delivering subcontracted work packages
  • Degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Knowledge of commercial and legal frameworks in the Defence/Aerospace sector
  • Innovative thinking with a focus on adding value
  • Willingness to travel both nationally and internationally

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Procurement processes in the Defence/Aerospace sector
  • Understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in contracts
  • Background in Business Studies
  • MCIPS qualification or progress towards it
  • Experience with integrated business systems such as SAP
