Job Description

The University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team.

This role will involve working with patients who have diabetes, providing expert care and support to ensure they receive the best possible treatment. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in diabetes nursing and be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert diabetes care to patients across various settings, including inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans that meet the individual needs of patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Prioritize complex situations and make informed decisions to improve patient outcomes.
  • Act as a clinical expert in diabetes care and provide guidance to colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Current NMC registration and relevant qualifications in nursing or a health-related subject.
  • Significant experience in diabetes nursing, preferably with a focus on paediatrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
