Support for Children with SEN

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our team in Preston.
The successful candidate will work closely with children who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges.
Job Summary:This is a full-time, term-time only position, offering a competitive salary based on experience. The successful candidate will be rewarded with a salary of £28,000 - £36,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:- Work 1:1 or in small groups with students, providing tailored support based on individual needs
- Assist with planning and delivering engaging, sensory-based learning activities
- Support the class teacher in creating an inclusive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
- Foster positive social interactions and emotional development, ensuring each child feels valued and supported
- Use communication aids and strategies to help students develop language and interaction skills
- Help with personal care needs as required, always promoting independence and dignity
- Experience working with primary-aged children with SEN (preferred)
- Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or similar (desirable)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
