Sourcing Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sourcing Engineer to join our team at Wise Employment. As a Sourcing Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our purchasing team by bringing engineering knowledge to the table.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Source new direct components required for New Products Introductions (NPI) from existing or new suppliers.
  • Be the subject matter expert for direct components and use this knowledge to support sourcing strategies and supplier relationships.
  • Use market and industry intelligence to identify, vet, and qualify new suppliers.
  • Identify risks and threats in the Supply Chain, rank them, and address them accordingly.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of engineering specifications, drawings, and technical data.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
