About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Sustainable Transport Specialist. As part of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring that all transport projects incorporate sustainable and active travel priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with colleagues across Transport, Highways, and the wider Council to develop and implement sustainable transport strategies.
  • Ensuring the safety and sustainability of all road users, while promoting the Council's behaviour change programme and modal shift aspirations.
  • Developing strong relationships with local businesses and resident working groups to promote active travel and sustainable transport options.
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of policy and scheme developments to integrate Public Health, Wellbeing, Climate Change, and Active Travel agendas.
